The Douloufakis Winery is a family business on the Greek island of Crete that makes modern wines, mainly from the typical grape varieties from the island. The wines of Douloufakis are accessible and have a Mediterranean character.
In 1930 grandfather Dimitris Douloufakis started a winery in Crete. In 1952 he won his first wine prices on the 'International Trade Fair' of Thessaloniki.
Now his grandson Nikos is making the wines at the Douloufakis winery, his wife runs the tasting room and his sun is studying oenology in Italy. Nikos studied oenology in Italy is well. After his studies, he took over the winery from his father and completely modernized it. In the cellar you will find oak barrels, steel tanks and state-of-the-art Italian equipment
