Our white wines of Weingut Jungmayr:

Jungmayr Frühroter Veltliner 2023

Jungmayr Roter Veltliner Reserve 2021

The Jungmayr family makes wines in the village of Ebersbrunn in the Austrian Weinviertel. The family winery is an age-old tradition. So old that it is no longer possible to trace which ancestor pressed grapes for the first time. It is certain that this must have been hundreds of years ago. Daniel Jungmayr is now the winemaker. He does it in collaboration with his parents and his sister.

In 1990, Robert Jungmayr and his wife took over the family business from his father. At the time, the company in the village of Ebersbrunn in the Weinviertel was still a so-called 'mixed company'. Not only were grapes grown, but also sunflowers and maize, for example. But Robert was determined to follow his passion and devoted himself completely to winemaking.

A few years ago Daniel took over from father Robert. But his parents are still involved in this family business. Daniel's sister helps with the marketing and his wife Elisabeth makes an organic Grüner Veltliner.

The Jungmayrs make accessible wines with good quality. The wines are hardly exported. They are sold to loyal Austrian customers, who drive to the Weingut a few times a year to load their cars. Many have become friends over the years with whom each spring is tasted the new crop.

In good Austrian practice, a large number of grape varieties have been planted in the 14 hectares of rolling vineyards of the Jungmayrs in the hilly Weinviertel. Of course you will find the Zweigelt and the Grüner Veltliner. In recent years, the family has steadily expanded the number of vineyards and planted even more varieties such as the rare Roter Veltliner, Frühroter Veltliner and the Blauburger. The family plans to continue expanding the vineyards in the coming years.
